The original Prototype was built by Whitcomb for the military during W.W.II. It was powered by a 6 cylinder LeRoi gasoline engine. It was used after the war by International Mineral and Chemical CO. in California. It is still active at the California State RR museum in Sacramento. This is Ryan's first of what I am sure will be many other engines. His love of railroading goes back to when he was two and has overshadowed all other possible activities from Little League to Scouts. Locomotive Information This engine is powered by a V-16HP Vanguard engine that drives a Eaton Hydrostatic drive system. This baby has plenty of pulling power and can pull more than 100 cars. The hand held controls makes for smooth and easy operation.
